Located on the corner of US98 and Al 59 in Foley. from Linyer Wright....My Dad, Jim Wright, bought the drug store in apx. 1946/47 from Mary and Martin Crosby and the name was changed to Wright Drugs in the 50's when my brother joined my Dad in the business......from Vivian Houser: Holmes Memorial Hospital was on the 2nd story of this building. Hospital was vital to entire area of south Baldwin. Medical care was provided by Dr. W.C. Holmes and his wife Philomene. Dr. Holmes served as a Navy Surgeon during WW II while Philomene, with the help of Dr. Planck, kept the hospital going.
