from JR Sute, This is the Foley Coffee Shop on the west side of Hwy 59, across the street from the park. As you may recall, Kenny Franklin bought the Foley Bakery from the Hartmans and stayed in the building on Hwy 98 across from the Farmers and Merchants Bank for a while. Kenny moved from that location to this building after we graduated from high school. The old wooden building visible in the background to the left of the Coffee Shop was later demolished and a filling station was constructed in it's place. Claude Peteet's office is hidden behind the coffee shop. from Vivian Houser: This building looks like the current Foley Cafe on 59, west and across the street from the John B Foley Park. Kenny Franklin took over the old Foley Bakery from Mr. Hartmann, and later moved the business to this location. It may still be called Foley Bakery. The tower is the city water tower. The jail was also located under the tower and behind the current cafe. In fact, this building could have later become the jail and in fact be located on North Alston.
